Rad Air franchisees don’t just buy into a system—they join a brand with over 50 years of trust, support, and customer-first values. Hear from owners and get clear answers to the questions that matter most.
“Rad Air stood out because of its values. I didn’t even consider another brand.”
“The systems and support give you a clear blueprint for running the business the right way.”
“Customers trust the Rad Air name, and that makes a real difference from day one.”
“You’re supported, but you still have ownership and pride in your location.”
Absolutely not. We aren’t looking for mechanics; we’re looking for leaders. Our most successful franchisees are great at managing people and following a proven system. We provide over 100 hours of comprehensive training (classroom, virtual, and in-shop) that covers everything from shop operations to invoicing, so you’re fully prepared on day one.
Yes. Rad Air supports both owner-operator and semi-absentee models. While you’ll need to be heavily involved during the initial launch and ramp-up phase, our systems are designed to eventually allow you to focus on high-level growth while your team handles the daily operations.
We’ve been ahead of the curve since 2005. Rad Air was an early adopter of hybrid technology, and we provide specialized training and equipment for both EV and Hybrid service, as well as ADAS calibration. As cars become more like “computers on wheels,” our commitment to ongoing tech-education keeps our franchisees relevant and profitable.
The initial investment typically ranges from $149,750 to $643,750, depending on location and size. We look for partners with roughly $85,000–$125,000 in liquid capital. While we don’t offer in-house financing, we have strong relationships with third-party lenders and can guide you through the SBA loan process.
Unlike other franchises, we don’t just take a fee; we provide a “proven blueprint” for advertising that removes the guesswork from your local marketing spend. Further, we provide operational support and updates.
The “technician shortage” is a common concern, but Rad Air has built a high-retention culture that candidates seek out. We provide talent acquisition solutions and a “Golden Rules” framework that emphasizes fair pay (no commissions/SPIFFs) and a work-life balance that keeps teams happy and turnover low.
We don’t just hand you the keys and leave. We’ll be at your shop for the first two weeks of operation. Following that, you’ll receive 13 weeks of dedicated coaching and proactive check-ins to ensure your unit-level economics are hitting the right benchmarks.
